Heal Your Body at the PAC

Neck, back, and joint discomfort can often be affected by improper stretching, hydration, exercise form, and posture. PAC fitness classes provide opportunities to learn proper stretching, warm-up techniques, form, and posture.

Pilates focuses on mobility drills, dynamic stretches, strengthening postures, balance, flexibility, and core strength.

Yoga incorporates breath-led movement and tension-releasing stretches to strengthen the core and improve overall mobility.

Looking to reach your fitness goals, improve your form, or begin a new workout routine? PAC certified personal trainers are available to support your fitness journey.

Training assistance includes:

Strength and endurance training
Operational readiness
Injury prevention

PAC Knowledge – Evacuation Procedures

September is a great time to refresh your knowledge of PAC evacuation procedures.

Members should know the location of emergency exits, fire extinguishers, AEDs, and the appropriate emergency telephone numbers. During an evacuation, PAC employees will provide instructions and lead members to the appropriate exits based on their location within the facility.

Always follow PAC procedures and staff instructions during an emergency.

Emergency Phone Numbers

PFPA: 911
Pentagon Operations Center: (703) 697-5555
DiLorenzo Health Clinic: (703) 697-1111
Mark Center: (571) 372-5682
Taylor Building: (703) 602-5429

Fit-To-Win Minute – Static Stretching

Static stretching can help improve flexibility and range of motion. Holding a stretch for approximately 30–60 seconds is generally sufficient to improve flexibility.

For long-term benefits, stretching can be incorporated into a regular fitness routine several days per week. Before workouts or competition, members should prioritize an appropriate dynamic warm-up to prepare the muscles for activity.
